A visit to the tribal people of Madhya Pradesh

In early January 2007, Vickie visited the village of Biwarti, two days journey by rail and taxi -- and motorscooter! -- to the southeast of Indore.



On the way, they encountered this wind farm in the countryside of Madhya Pradesh:




They also came across this man tending his sheep along the highway.




The village has a satellite of the Barli Institute, which Vickie and her co-workers visited, to evaluate the impact of its training on the village.
